Will it do anything for the itch at night?
That's what it's built for. A water-based cream is largely gone within a couple of hours, so by 3 in the morning there's nothing on you. This has no water in it, so it's still there. Most people notice their sleep change before they notice their skin.
Can I still use my steroid cream with this?
Yes. This isn't a replacement for anything your doctor has given you, and we
would never ask you to stop a prescription to try a moisturiser. Most people
use both — the steroid where they've been told to, this everywhere else and
on the days in between. If you're hoping to reach for the steroid less often,
that's a conversation worth having with your doctor.
Will it sting on cracked or broken skin?
Most stinging comes from what's in a water-based cream — the preservative system, the alcohol, or the fragrance. None of that is in here, because with no water there's nothing to preserve. On an open split you'll feel the pressure of putting something on, but it shouldn't burn.
Is it greasy? Does it smell?
It's whipped, so it goes on thinner than it looks and sinks in rather than sitting on top. Properly rendered tallow has a natural lemon smell — if a tallow product smells like a butcher shop, it was rendered in a hurry. There's no artificial fragrance.
How long before I notice anything?
The texture change is quick — most people feel the roughness soften the first
time they use it. The rest takes longer. Give it a week for the tightness and
irritation to settle, and about a month before you'd call it a change. If
you're a month in and nothing is different, we would rather refund you than
have you keep going.
What if it doesn't work for me?
Send it back and we'll refund you, even if the jar is half gone. 90 days, no
form, no explanation needed. There's no subscription and nothing auto-ships
unless you choose it. You've had enough of feeling caught out.
